About the UK Asset Management Board

The UK Asset Management Board brings together expertise from local authorities, National Highways, Welsh Government and Transport Scotland to support the development and application of highway asset management capability across the UK.

The Board promotes a whole-systems approach to long-term infrastructure and highway asset management, supporting effective business decision-making, long-term planning and the continuous development of asset management capability and enablers.

The Board has played a key role in the review and update of the Well-managed Highway Infrastructure Code of Practice.

The Board is supported by the Highways Asset Management Financial Information Group (HAMFIG), which reports directly to the Board.
