About the UK Lighting & Technology Board
The UK Lighting & Technology Board brings together representatives from local highway authorities, national road authorities, government bodies, industry partners and professional institutions to support the effective management of highway technology and street lighting assets.
The Board promotes good practice, innovation and consistency, and supports the development and implementation of national standards, guidance and policy across street lighting, traffic signals, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), communications infrastructure and emerging roadside technologies.
Its work supports safe, sustainable and resilient road networks, while promoting interoperability, knowledge sharing and the adoption of new technologies across the UK.

The Board is chaired by David Denner, Highways Technology Manager at Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government.
