The UK Bridges Board brings together national and local government from across the UK to consider engineering matters relating to bridges and highway structures. Established in 2001, the Board reports to the UK Roads Leadership Group.
The Board brings bridge owners and managers together to share best practice in design, inspection, maintenance and decommissioning, identify areas for research and improvement in practice, and build strong, supportive relationships.
The Board is chaired by Dr Hazel A McDonald, Chief Bridge Engineer at Transport Scotland.
